At Roof Clad Design, we specialise in many aspects of the Industrial Roofing & Cladding industry and aim to offer clients a cost effective and professional service through all stages of the building life; during planning, pre-construction, throughout the construction phase, and post construction.

Roof Clad Design has many years’ experience working within the roofing, cladding and façade sector - not only in draughting and design, but also contracts management, estimating and surveying – ensuring that details and systems proposed are both practical, but also cost effective.

Working closely with clients and their professional team the range of services offered include:

• Providing detailed 2D/3D Autocad or Autodesk Revit drawings of the roofing/cladding system and advising sheet sizes/quantities/fixing details/RAL colour/etc

• Providing specific drawings along the eaves/verge/gutters/soffits and views around doors/windows/etc

• Sending out RFI’s (request for information) via e-mail if any discrepancies or queries occur

• Liaising with architects/main contractors/steelworkers/manufacturers

• Working closely with the steelwork contractors to ensure their design caters for the roofing/cladding fixing requirements

• Working to construction programs and meeting strict deadlines

• Using 3D steelwork design software, Tekla, Advanced Steel, Struwalker, etc

• Travelling to site, carrying out site surveys and attending design team meetings

• Issuing drawings via e-mail for comments/approval

• Uploading drawings onto on-line portals, such as 4Projects, Aconex, Conject, BIM360, etc

• Creating drawing/schedule registers in Microsoft Word & Excel

• Scheduling materials through Microsoft Word & Excel consisting of sheets, panels, gutters, flashings, fixings, sealants, etc that are required to install

• Assisting our client onsite to ensure the system is installed correctly to the drawings

• Cost analysis and pre-construction advice

• Impartial advice on proposed specifications to negate problems during the construction phase, ensuring that the solution, whilst practical, is technically sound and importantly economically viable

• Roof drainage calculations for gravity fed systems, both new and existing buildings

• Condition and dimensional surveys of existing buildings or ongoing works.
